The 2024/25 season is about to end, and rumours of Florian Wirtz are adding more heat to this summer transfer market.
With the season 2024-25 ending and transfer talks heating up across Europe, the future of Florian Wirtz has become one of the hottest topics in football.
After a standout season that only boosted his stock, Wirtz is firmly on the radar of Europe’s biggest clubs.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are leading the race to sign Wirtz.
The Reds have already made a formal approach for the German star, and they want to wrap this deal quickly to avoid any last-minute drama.

“My preferred solution would be for him to stay in Leverkusen for another year and then move.
He is still very young and already has a top career.”
Voller emphasised that Wirtz is well-settled at Leverkusen, having won the Bundesliga title last year and enjoying strong relationships within the club.
The German sporting director further added, “He knows what he has at Leverkusen… He just became champion here and has a great relationship with the officials.”
While acknowledging that Wirtz will eventually move on, Voller suggests that delaying a transfer until after the 2026 World Cup could be advantageous for both Wirtz and Germany.
This approach would allow Wirtz to continue developing in a familiar environment, ensuring regular playing time and stability, which could enhance his performance ahead of the World Cup.
